Although I have a few paintings on the go right now (one is about 2/3 done... and HUGE) I am taking a breather to build a table with storage for my living room.
I am making it out of wood and covering the surface with 100 year old letterpress wood type. I acquired a box of random letters about 10 years ago and it collected dust ever since while I tried to figure out what to do with it.
I was originally just going to make framed bunch of type, then a decorative end table, but last night as I was gluing the type blocks to it I decided to give it a hinged top so I can store couch blankets in it.
So far it looks pretty good.
I ran out of type just over halfway through it so I am hitting ebay to try to source some more. If anyone has any or has access to some LET ME KNOW!
I will post the pics when it is finished...
